We accept and process referrals to individual doctors working at Barwon Rheumatology via fax, post or ReferralNet (please note we do not have access to Argus). Alternatively, patients can bring their referral along to their appointment.

**Please include the latest blood test results, current medications, past medical conditions/procedures, and relevant scans with referral**

Barwon Rheumatology is an Adult Rheumatology Service, children should be referred to a paediatric rheumatologist

We currently have a significant wait list. For urgent referrals or treatment advice whilst patients are awaiting an appointment, please phone our rooms to speak to our friendly secretaries, and if needed the rheumatologist can provide advice.  Examples of urgent appointments include new onset inflammatory arthritis, suspected Giant Cell arteritis, vasculitis, or any acute illness you are concerned about.

We do not accept referrals for Ehler-Danlos or Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. If you have any queries about suitability of referrals please contact our rooms to discuss.
